Madhya Pradesh: Siblings Save Their Money From Scholarship To Gift A Toilet To Their School

Lack of toilets is a harsh reality of our country and even students have to face this problem. Memoona Khan(16)and Aamir Khan(14), students of Narsingpur district of Madhya Pradesh, were not happy with the sanitary condition of Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls Higher Secondary School, Narsingpur. The school had only one toilet and students have to stand in a queue for toilet. They both saved their scholarship money, they received as “minority community” students and added Rs. 2000 for the toilet at the school. Thus they had Rs 10,000 in total. Seeing their commitment for the cause, their father too contributed Rs 14,500 for the toilet. At the age when children are not able to think beyond their studies, Memoona and Aamir have shown if we someone is willing, they can bring positive change. The Logical Indian appreciates both of them and their parents for supporting them.
